Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum

Posted in Members

The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum exists to preserve and present the industrial heritage of Purbeck. Housed in what was the last working adit mine in the area, and positioned in the heart of the 19th Century Norden Clay Works, the displays tell the story of the clay workers and merchants, the creation of the clay tramways and give an opportunity to experience what working underground was like.
